I've always thought the Fatalis lore was the coolest in monster hunter! Thank you for bringing this full-body hydra to life!

My personal headcanon is that every Fatalis we fight is the previous games' protagonist who made the Fatalis armor. Which (in my silly little head) explains why Iceborne's Fatalis is so cracked, since it regenerated from the GU hunter.

I just wanted to comment that despite what we know about Fatalis, including its red and white counterpart, the lore states there is only ever one Fatalis because every hunter who has managed to kill it will slowly become corrupt and possess by the armor they forged Fatalis out of. Fatalis will be reborn and continue its onslaught but what is even worse is that for every hunter Fatalis has killed, it melts the flesh and armor of the hunter it killed and wears them. And why does it do this, you may ask? It's because Fatalis is old, having been there since before the Guild was a thing and saw the complete slaughter of its kin where hundreds of dragon corpses were used to create the Tower (hence why you find a Kushala Daora scale there) and other places like it. Fatalis still remembers!
